Wouldn't it be better to implement Kad (which is used by eMule) not as a seperate module, but in eD2K-Plugin? The point is, Azureus (BT!) is using the Kademlia algorithm too, but it doesn't has something to do with Kademlia used by eMule.

Something like eD2Kad-Module. ;)

Maybe I should add some explanations: Since eD2K and Kad are using the same type of userhash and creditsystem (for eMule users) it would be reasonable to create ONE plugin for both. BUT: Some people would like to run Kad without eD2K (because they do not want to connect to servers) or eD2K without Kad (because Kad overstrains some routers), therefore, it wouldn't be good to have one plugin.

Maybe, you could manage it this way: eD2K-plugin works, as it's working now. Kad-plugin could create the eD2K-folder for userhash and creditfile (if the are saved). If you are now adding the eD2K-plugin, you have already userhash and saved credits ready to use.

Just some thoughts :)

I think I'll start playing with kad support on these days. I've made no particular design choice right now (still documenting), I just take the ticket. If anybody is interested to join kad-effort, please let me know by mail (andrea d_o_t leofreddi a_t libero d_0t it).
