What do you mean by 'samba support'? Downloading files via SMB?

When you click in windows on the 'Network environment' icon, you use SAMBA protocol. You can use SAMBA for downloading a file from remote host, f.e. url "smb://SOMEOTHERCOMP/video/somemovie.avi" is an SAMBA url.

While I fail to see the need for this plugin, I agree that it should be created for completeness.
